We do it when we’re bored, we do it when we’re angry and we
do it as an act of bonding but when we’re finally caught doing it – we’re
labelled for life! And it usually starts off a lil something like this: “Omg!
So have you girls heard who Nik is dating now? I think it’s that girl from
Cardies!” “What?! I knew it! Remember last week I told you I saw them at the
movies. But I heard his ex is..."
That’s
right ladies, I'm talking about GOSSIPING!
We all have those "o-m-g she said what" faces... |
We all have a best friend that we can’t help but share all
our juiciest stories with and there’s no harm in doing that…is there?
Gossiping is not as straightforward as we like to think.
Many times we fail to realize that when a person tells us not to tell ANYONE, they probably don’t mean anyone EXCEPT for your inner circle. That’s
often where the lines become blurred and how the story travels.
Although it is a good stress reliever and makes for some
good conversation, gossiping is a very dangerous thing. Above hurting those
involved, you could also ruin your own reputation. One of the worst things about gossiping is that often we
don’t even realize what we’re doing or done, until it has come back to our ears
and is too late.
So what's the solution to gossipping? |
So how do we find a solution to this problem? It’s simple really. If you don’t want it
spreading like wild fire, then don’t light the match. Do it for your own good - because once you have said it, you never know who had labelled you a gossiper for life...
As always, love and peace my darlings!
