How to Talk to a Guy You Like

situation...

By now, we are sure that you have realised we have all found our very own special someone's at the gym ... Only one problem ...  They don't know we exist! *sigh* Like many girls we find it so HARD to make that first move! After all, no girl wants to get rejected!  So how do we get them to notice us?

Simple, start a conversation with them *duh! Okay, so that's not so simple after all. No one wants to stand around making awkward conversation.  That would be sheer torture for the guy & yourself. We, at the blog, did a little research (after all every good plan needs to be researched)! We've found a few tips on how to get that conversation going!

Tip #1: Get the boy to notice YOU!

Unfortunately ladies there's no way around this one ... If you are blessed like us, take a wing woman (or 2) and "accidentally" bump into him and strike up a conversation. Just make sure its you he notices and not your friends!

Tip #2: Get that Convo Going 

Get him to talk about himself. Guys, like any other person, love talking about themselves ask about his favorite team, or how he stays in such good shape. Remember to ask open-ended questions after all we want this conversation to lead somewhere - not fall flat after a yes or no answer!

Tip #3: Laugh

Every guy likes a girl that smiles! So why not use it to your advantage?  Add little jokes into your conversation and laugh at his jokes.  After all ladies, laughter is the best medicine!

Tip #4: Don't Be a Convo-Hog

Its normal to talk a lot when you nervous, just ask us! Boys on the other hand, might see this as rude and you're not letting him have his say. Just remember that it would also be awkward to just stand there and listen to him. Find the balance ladies.

Tip #5: Flirt! Flirt and Flirt some more!

Let the guy now you're interested! So if you're interested flirt. Make eye contact, smile or dust a little imaginary "dust" of his shoulder. Just make sure your flirting is fun and harmless - so try not to over-do it. After all you don't want to try and lead on a guy that is totes not interested in you!

Serve all these tips on a plate of self-confidence. Don't go in and try to make the guy fall head over heels for you - your aim should be to be the nicest, friendliest version of you. You don't wanna be known for anything else other than being a genuinely nice person. *GULP* gonna rack up some confidence and try these out the next time we see our guys at gym. What #RugbyHotties will 2014 be bringing us?

We can't contain our excitement! In just a few short weeks, we welcome back one of the most important parts of our lives! A piece of the puzzle of our life that as been missing for over 2 months! (eternity to me). Of course, we are speaking about the wonderful game of rugby! Now if you aren't from South Africa, you probably don't get the appeal. But hang on ladies, there's some eye candy right here...

On the 15th of February, the Sharks kick off their 2014 campaign against old-time rivals, the Bulls. We are all after that ever-elusive Super Rugby trophy. Now, some of you ladies (and guys, we know you read our blog) might recall that we've (The Sharks) been to 4 finals yet never won. *sigh* Is 2014 finally our year? Is Jake, John and Captain Bismarck (we will get back to that soon) going to get the team to victory this year?

Here's our top 6 players to watch this year who might just be our keys to winning that trophy and they're real rugby hotties too! Can it get any better!First up...


1. PATRICK LAMBIE

Even with all the controversy over which position Lambie is best suited for, the one thing no one can deny is that this gorgeous Flyhalf/ fullback not only has the skills on the field but is totally gorgeous off the field! Lambie can make any girls heart swoon sadly for some the only girl he's interested in is his gorgeous new wife, Kate Lambie (congrats on the wedding guys - even though we are a little jealous *sigh*).

2. FRANCOIS STEYN

This new daddy came onto the rugby scene as a fresh faced gorgeous 19 year old with a mop of blonde curls. Girls swooned, yes I was one of them, and players got nervous for the guy with the golden boot. Not much has changed he's still gorgeous, still a star on the field (when he's not injured) but sadly he too is off the market! Married and a daddy of a gorgeous little baby. 

3. PIETER STEPH DU TOIT

Look at those arms! 

Hailed a gift from the rugby gods (both on the field and looks-wise too if you ask us) ,this 21 year old made a name for himself. Not only the Sharks team, but the Springbok team too, after shining in his first season  last year. He's even been nominated by SARU as the young player of the year! *holding thumbs Du Toit*

4. The BISMARCK brothers!

Yup, definitely jealous of Miss SA right about now.. 

How much talent in one family! Both phenomenal players on the field both internationally and locally. Bissie has been named the new  Sharks captain and will have to show a little more discipline on the field if he hopes to make a full 80min. These two are sure to play important roles in this year Super Rugby. While Jannie is a family guy, captain Bissie is on the market, any takers girls???

And of course I'm adding my favourite to this bunch...

5. KEEGAN DANIEL!

Did y'all really think I would leave him off the list?
Having just come off a great year leading the Sharks to victory in the Currie cup, I was sad to see him dropped as captain. I believe KD is gonna shine this year as he concentrates on his game. He certainly is one player to watch... On second thoughts don't watch him, seriously though ladies, NO perving over my man this season!

When Your Crush Walks Into A Room

We all have crushes right? And we all have those friends that know about our twisted thoughts...

Yup, totally happened to me as gym! I tried to play it cool in front of one particular hottie that caught my eye, and then our little Smurfett_li gave me that "Simon Cowell" look. Now, my playing it cool look -  totally gone! Sigh lets hope he didn't notice...not likely!

We have been so busy talking about gym, new year resolutions, wearing make-up to the gym, not wearing make-up to the gym etc, that we actually forgot to blog on our favourite topic - stalking hotties of course!

You make recognize this cutie-petute-ey from E! News. Yup, Jesse is the LA news correspondent on E!. Not only does this hottie have our dream job (hello who wouldn't wanna call Giuliana and Terrence colleagues?)   He is also a musician, writer, and a model! And from what we read, all round nice guy. On his website, this lanky hunk is quoted as saying "“Everyone is somebody with a story. A story worth hearing and I want to hear it,” (oooh lala I am in love *swoon*) So Jesse, mind sitting down with us and hearing our story (gonna try use his words on him and get him to talk to us...let's see if it will works hehe). Yup, he's the one...

Where do I start! Tall, gorgeous and a doctor (well soon to be)! This hottie has it all. Born in Sri Lanka, Adam has made quite an impact in the modeling world (apparently the boy's signed with Ford and has modeled for Gucci and Dolce & Gabanna) . I first heard of this hottie on facebook when someone posted his spread from Esquire Magazine. One thing popped in my mind : I must find him! So then began the cyber-stalking...

Adam is currently studying at Columbia Med School in New York (oooh my dream of marrying a doctor and living in New York! God are you trying to tell me something here...) Unfortunately ladies, the boy doesn't seem to have twitter so the best way to stalk him is maybe setting up a google alert?

Feliciano Lopez

Suddenly tennis is becoming
one of my favourite sports...

Thank you Australia! No, he isn't from there so Bok supporters we can openly love him. But I did discover him at the Australian Open. Meet my second eye-candy fav  - Feliciano Lopez (my first is Rafa Nadal - yum!) This tennis hottie hails from Espana! He most recently played against our homeboy, Kevin Anderson at this year's Aussie Open. You can stalk him on twitter -@feliciano_lopez , but you may need google translate to help you understand what's going on since his timeline is pretty much in Spanish.

Hello February!

Hello, month of love...

The month of love is h-e-r-e! Coupled up or not, this is still a great time to appreciate all the loved ones in your life. Start with mum and dad, brothers and sisters, and hey even that hottie you are crazy about (just sorta be subtle about appreciating the hottie -  we don't wanna freak him out now). My point is use the month of love to acknowledge and appreciate all that is right in your life. Whether it be people or even small things like a job, your gym contract, your car, and even that plate of food - a little gratitude will go a long way.

As the old saying goes, "count your blessings one by one..."
