Our Best (Un)Dressed List by @Jackey_101

You heard it here 1st! A new suit! #ThumbsUp

So after stalking one of our favourite subjects on twitter i.e. @LeClos_Swim we came across a pic of him without his grey suit on!! (Don't get to excited Le Clos fans he did have clothes on! Cue thousands of girls crying!).  He had on a black suit!  Yes, you have heard it here first!

Chad Le Clos attended a function without that grey untailored suit! Opting rather for a classic black tailored suit! We give you a #ThumbsUp! Absolutely! LOVED you in it!  Which got us thinking, if Le Clos would make our top 10 list of best dressed SA sporting heroes, which other stars would make our list?

 Yes, we have gone all fashion police on our stalking victims (so watch out!)

So here's our list according to us:

#1 Chad le clos! He makes our list since he exchanged the grey suit (we were getting a lil bored)! Now, he looks oh so fine! Even myself and @CarrieKups agree...

AND that's where our list ends!  Unfortunately (or rather fortunately), due to Google’s inefficiency (they had no pic of our sports stars in clothes), we have had to change the list to best UNDRESSED sports stars!

Anything better than a man in a Sharks uniform? #InLove

So voting has officially closed on #PrinceCharming September polls! Cue applause. (Well at least by me, but feel free to join in!).  From the way the voting went we can clearly see that you all prefer Local guys to the international variety.  @RossSkeate won with 56% of the votes! That’s over half the votes; clearly he was the best choice.  @LeClos_swim came a  le “CLOS” second not trying to be outdone with 43% and @Cristiano with only 17% of the votes (yeah we don’t see how that adds up either, obviously people voted more than once! @CarrieKups was that you?)

But at the end of the day there could only be one true  #PrinceCharming and that was Ross Skeate!  Well done! Mmmmm (cue drooling n-o-w)

I did a little stalking (don’t worry totally legal and over the internet; budget constraint barely allows for marie biscuits these days, never mind a trip to France. Feel free to donated though! ) to find out exactly why we LOVE Ross “the Gentle Giant” Skeate!  I found MY top ten reasons….not that I needed them, Ross (true lover never does)...

1.    He’s a rugby player! Come on girls is there any thing sexier to a South African girl than a guy that plays rugby?

2.    He is 2.01 meters’ tall! You know what that means tall ladies! You can wear killer heels around him and not feel totally awkward!

3.    He’s not only a rugby player, but also a college graduate and has an English degree in Media and Writing.  Who says all rugby players are dof?

He does charity too? Awwww

4.    He does his part for charity.  That obviously means he has a soft heart.  Everyone say awhhhh now!

5.    He and his family are close! Anything more adorable than a guy that loves his family?

6.    He loves to travel! (BTW so do I #JustSaying!)

7.    He describes himself as pretty good in the kitchen!  But I don’t think he has to worry any girl would be more than happy to cook for him!

8.    He can speak FRENCH! Can you think of anything more romantic?

9.    He loves to read! Who wouldn’t mind curling up on the couch and reading a book with him?

- .  And the last reason HE IS FRIENDLY and that what counts the most, he replies to our tweets (didn’t need to do any stalking to find that out)

How could this be anything but Prince Charming?

My Bok Rant by @Jackey_101

So I'm like 100% sure that I am not the only South African that is having a total bitch rant about the Boks game against the all blacks this past weekend!  Like honestly you would think Hyneke Meyer, being the 'awesome' coach he seems to think he is (if thinking is possible for Meyer!), would realise when his game plan isn't working!  But no being a man he has to try and prove that he knows what he's doing!

Well, clearly he didn't! Leaving Morne Steyn on the field after half time is probably one of the stupidest things he has done thus far!  The man was missing kicks! Loosing us points! Really you didn't maybe think it was time to loose Steyn so we wouldn't loose the game!  Well clearly not!

Eventually, Meyer did take Steyn off and bring on Goosen (whose 20 and after having been off with an injury for the pass 3 months, did a much better job than Morne.) Unfortunately, he was bought on too late to make any significant difference in the game! 

I just wanna hug him and tell him it's all gonna be better....sigh

Then, poor Lambie (Pat Lambie)! He only played 5 minutes at the end of the game! (Really if you not gonna use him send him home). He would do a much better job helping the Sharks win the Curry Cup than acting as water boy to the Boks! 

Another let down in the game was Greyling!  ONG! (our term for horror - Oh No Guys,) He was on for a few minutes but managed to give away penalties, get a yellow card and loose our bonus loosing point!! WTF!   What was he thinking elbowing someone in the face!  Well, clearly he's one of the few players that can't think! (Taking after the coach perhaps?).

Well, he's now suspended for 2 weeks! Way to go, Greyling! What exactly where you hoping to achieve?

The face that broke our hearts #RoastMorne

So a disappointing Bok weekend was had by the South Africans!  Even having an opportunity to watch all those gorgeous men run around the field would not make up for the loss of the game!  I wish Meyer would realize that it’s the Boks, not just a Blue Bulls team! Hello pick the best from every team in South Africa, clearly the Bulls are crap...

So after the game, everyone on twitter jumped onto the band wagon and joined in on the #RoastMorne trend!  I must say after the game this did give me a bit of comic relief!  Best Morne roast I heard "BreakingNews:  reports claim that after the game Morne tried to kick the wall in frustration, but he missed!"

Lucky for us Durbanites the Sharks came out and made our night with a win!  I have to say watching Keegan and the guys (everyone knows the sharks are the best looking players!) sliding around on a soaked field almost made me forget how angry I was with Hyneke and Steyn!

My Life as the Fatal Fail Baker by @Smurfette_Li

Let's face it, at one point or another in our lives, we have all TRIED the whole domestic goddess thing (as in cooking/baking a la Martha Stewart). But in my and @CarrieKups‘ case to no avail. We watched a few episodes of Master Chef SA and suddenly we thought “ we too can cook like Deena Naidoo” (Master Chef SA winner 2012). Me, more so cos I’m a complete Cake Boss stalker! (Buddy, please help me! I need to at least bake before I get married!).

So, we decided to try this "Fail-proof" banana cake recipe and made...wait for it...a rock cake! And no N0T the cute fruit cake kind. Hmm how do I explain it? Ever heard the expression "As hard as a rock"??

Yeah THAT kind of rock cake... I’m pretty sure David could have used this cake against Goliath. And the ancient Roman could have defended their cities with our “ Fail-proof” banana bread.

 Which made me wonder, is there anything as a "fail-proof" recipe?? In my opinion, I think you gotta be a fail-proof baker!

 So sharing this story with our girl @Jackey_101, we discovered that the girl had a secret talent...u guessed it! She's an awesome baker! Check out this pic of the GLEE cake she made for her baby cousin's birthday!

I’m not sure  whether I’m happy for her, or seriously jealous! Well, on the plus side, I have already sourced the baker for my Big Day (Sorry Buddy, she’s more in my price range).

She Loves Your Lawn....Uh Excuse Me?

Finally, it was my turn to get excited to meet and talk to someone! Jonathan.

 Those stairs that I walked up to meet him was probably the longest hardest walk in my life (especially as I was trying not to trip in my cheetah print heels) Once again I was surprised by what a friendly sweet guy Jonathan was (we South Africans truly do have the friendliest celebs around!).

 After a few photos, we spoke about his nephew (such a cutie pie!). And then it happened...

@Smurfett_Li mentions that I LOVE his front yard lawn!! WTF could you make me sound any more like a stalker!!! Luckily, he was a great sport and laughed about it with us! However, I must point out that he probably won't forget the girl in cheetah who likes his front lawn any time soon!! He even tweeted me later that night! (#Inlove)

All in all it was a great night that gave us the chance to act like a Zaleb for the night and meet two of South Africas hottest bachelors!!Hmm wonder if we could change that bachelor status...

Our Night with Top Billing by Jackey_101

The joy of starting a blog! Here, we can relive the night we got to spend with "The Chad" (Le Clos) and not have those around us complain about having to hear all about it AGAIN! (and AGAIN).

We were fortunate enough to get to a VVIP meet and greet at Aqua Restaurant in SIBAYA! Of course we jumped on the chance! Who doesn't want to have a chance to act like a Zaleb for a night and chill with The Chad (and a few other equally gorgeous Zalebs)?

Arriving at Sibaya a bundle of nerves, we were worried about what it would be like when we finally got to meet The Chad!

After the reaction @Smurfett_Li gave from just seeing him at a distance we wondered what she would do when he actually spoke to her!!

All our worries about freezing like a statue and stuttering like a dork in front of him turned out to be a waste of time, as Chad turned out to be one of the SWEETEST guys EVER!! (And b-e-a-u-tiful just like Papa Le Clos said he is!) An easy guy to talk and laugh with even though he is like an Olympian god and everyone wants a piece off him. (Us included..mmmm)

He put up with us taking pics of him again, and again and AGAIN! Don't laugh but the first few were blurry because of our shaking hands and nerves.

We got to hang with Stefan Terblanche (Shark and Springbok rugby player). And got to hear a few embarrassing (not to mention raunchy) comments about his wife and the book -50 Shades of Grey.

Stefan finally introduced us to Chad and spoke to him about life, swimming, winning gold and about possible twitter stalkers (acknowledge we were some of those twitter stalkers, although we like to use the term "Passionate Intense Fans (PIF's) cause stalker sounds so illegal for some reason!)

Throughout Stefan's interview with "The Chad" , I have to admit that my eyes were on one of South Africa's new famous faces on TV every week, Jonathan Boynton Lee  from Top Billing! He is gorgeous! Just had to put that out there!!

So after seeing him walk by, he was the guy who had my full attention for the night!

Cris, Le Clos, or Skeate: Who's your Prince?

Ok so we're stalkers and not afraid to say it.

Like all little girls, we grew up watching Disney. We believed we would grow up to be super popular (after a tear-jerking background of course!), bump into our Prince Charming, and he would fall for us, chasing us into our happily ever after...

Well life didn't turn out like that for us, so we decided to stalk our way there. . .

@CarrieKups' prince went a lil something like this..

@CarrieKups's Prince Charming was something out of football heaven. He would be something ALL the girls wanted. A top scorer who was much loved and adored. Oooh and of course he’d have that European accent to go with it.

He would bump into her at the 2010 Soccer World Cup (since we're from South Africa), lock eyes, and make an attempt to find out who "That Girl" was...

Could your prince be a lil something like this?

@Smurfett_Li's Prince Charming was a lil different...He'd be the music, he could dance, he'd sing and most of all, he'd have a body that made all the girls swoon. 

Queue 5 years forward and that changed; he'd be sweet, athletic, but he would STILL have that body... And she found this in our home-grown golden boy @LeClos_Swim aka Chad Le Clos. And thus, we went on our first stalking mission, or as we like to refer to it, our "research project" (See how that turned out..we have pics!)

@Jackey_101 is our residential WAG- Rugby WAG. Our mission is to marry off our girl to a rugby star. Unlike our other two girls, @Jackey_101 has always envisaged her Prince Charming as a rugby star. And that's never changed...

So our blog documents what we heart, what makes us have nightmares, and what makes us stand outside... in the rain... behind a tree... with an umbrella... holding binoculars... to see our celebs.

How @Smurfett_Li Discovered Hottie Chad Le Clos

Our home-grown hottie, Chad Le Clos

So did you ever watch TV, see a hot guy and just wish you had the opportunity to meet him? And then upon you guys meeting, he talks to you, finds out how awesome you are and marries you and you guys live happily ever after and you guys  buy a house in... Ok ok I'm getting sidetracked now...Yes, I too have that dream and my dream guy is none other than home-grown hottie, Chad Le Clos (@LeClos_Swim).

Chad Le Clos became an overnight sensation when he beat Michael Phelps (@MichaelPhelps) in the men's 200m Butterfly in the 2012 London Olympics. Literally, by the tips of his fingers!

The next day Chad flooded the papers (of which I later cut the pictures and stuck in my cupboards).

So being the female that I am, I had no idea who this "Le Clos" was. So I decided to do some research and find out who this "sensation" was. It was at that moment that I discovered Chad Le Clos, who looks like he should have been a Calvin Klein model...but turns out, the boy was just a swimmer!

After that it was Chad Le Clos this and Chad Le Clos that. There was no stopping me! And then started the #ChadFest on twitter! My two favorite girls @CarrieKups and @Jackey_101 and @CarrieKups's Prince Charming @ChefRenaldo all got involved! We tweeted EVERY SINGLE DAY UNTIL....We got a RT from him!

You see why we stalked him, right?

We tweeted him about 50 times that week alone! Hmmm some say weird and stalker-ish but we say perseverant, patient and persistent OR as @Jackey_101 calls it a PIF- Passionate Intense Fan. Now THAT was truly the test of #TrueFriendship

Hey there my fellow stalkers, my name is Jena. I’m assuming since you clicked on this blog, that you too are eagerly awaiting a fairytale ending huh? Well I have great news for you… you’re not alone! I guess that’s what inspired us to start this blog, to share our thoughts with others just like us. We all want to achieve Zaleb (South African celebs) status one day and deep down inside, we all know we’ll do whatever it takes to get there, even if it means us doing a little stalking…

I just matriculated and plan on studying further in a Bachelor of Education . Now, hold the judgment…I have the creativity needed to be a teacher. And I’m pretty patient too.

When I’m not acting like an ordinary teenager (most of you also indulge in a bit of online stalking, right?) with my friends, I really enjoy mathematics. So much so, that I plan on specializing in it. Now, hold the laughter…

I also enjoy spending time with my family, and am a devout Christian. In everything in life, there is a season. So as much as you wanna have fun, remember there’s always consequences (hmmm probably should’ve remembered that before I ambushed Chad Le Clos…)

Meet Our Girl @Jackey_101

Hello once again to all our fellow stalkers out there. Welcome on our journey as we find our real life fairytales, and a bunch of new victims to stalk (not in any freaky way!) Growing up I always read fairytales and dreamed about finding my own prince charming that would claim me as his own princess!  Sadly, we grow up and realise that life is no fairytale, but I'm out to prove that we can achieve our very own real life fairytale (Even if it may take a little stalking to achieve it!)...

A bit has changed since starting the blog with my fellow BFF's and stalkers!  My name is still Jackey ,but I'm now 22 but still living in South Arica and totally loving life...and while some may still refer to me as a stalker in my spare time, I prefer the term "Passionate Intense Fan" ( a PIF if you like?) I have graduated with a Bachelor of Education (Yay me!) and after 4 long years all my studying has paid off! I had hoped to have had a job by now but it seems even with a degree those are hard to come by.  But silver lining I have more time to spend posting on our crazy adventures and the zalebs we all like to stalk! 

I'm a Christian and thank the Lord every day, for the friends and family that he has bought into my life!  Like any true South African girl I am mad about Rugby (players!). And so this may account for the reason as to why many of the Sharks players are on my stalking list!  Although I have been known to stalk a few gorgeous South Africans that aren't on the field, some may remember the Jonathan Boynton-Lee incident.  (Note to self: dont let zalebs know you like their front lawn some find that wierd!) (FYI - if the FBI, SAPS, or future employers and parents of my future students are reading this- on twitter only not real life!).

And welcome to three girls’ journey to getting their fairytale (and hopefully a reality show, uh DSTV call us?)...

My name is Carrina. I’m 20 years-old and from sunny South Africa. My fairytale has kind-off changed since I dreamt it up all those 8 years ago (yup, been crushing that long on Cristiano Ronaldo). From wanting to be The Ultra WAG  ( think a la Victoria Beckham, supermodel Irina Shayk), I now have my heart set on being businesswomen of the year (think Maria Ramos, Santie Botha – who I’v actually met!) , to achiever of the year, and maybe even lifetime achievement award for being awesome. Sorry @Jackey_101, I will fight you for this...ok ok never mind, I love you too much! (Ps: notice my awesomeness as a friend)

 As you can see, I’m pretty goal-driven and career-orientated. But I love to laugh and chill with my friends. Sometime it’s just good to escape the realities of life, kick-back and act a lil crazy with people who don’t think you’re weird (it happens to the best of us).

I currently hold a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing Management and just recently obtained my Bachelor of Commerce Honours (so grateful to experience 8hrs of sleep again!). Now, I work for this awesome luxury brand as a marketing coordinator.

I also managed to find my Prince Charming. I swapped Cristiano Ronaldo for a Christian ou ( a slang term here in SA for guy) named Renaldo (my bf’s actual name #meant2be). No, he doesn’t play soccer, or football as some call it, but he is still my #1. (Don’t get me wrong, I still stalk the soccer players on twitter and drool over them every weekend...just don’t tell my Renaldo).

I am a devout Christian and believe in never judging a book by its cover. Look at me, looks sane but there is a whole lot crazy up in ‘ere! Ok note to self, not so good at the gangsta thing; don’t do it again.

My stalking adventures are seemingly over (I’ve found the love of my life, so I’m done on that front) but I mastermind 80% of the stalking. Although the masterminds behind our stalking Chad Le Clos (@LeClos_Swim) was all @Jackey_101 and @Smurfett_Li.

 And that’s me in like 350 words (well, I think). If there are any developments you know I’ll keep you posted!
